I had an email from an old friend on facebook today. She commented on how she remembers Gaga and how I've been decorating cakes and cookies as long as she's known me.

I love the thought of how that now the things I love making I'm making for our next generation. It's part of why I longed to be a grandma. It's a chance to make all the things for little ones all over again. Because there's nothing like making things for children.

And just a note about Gaga. Hali has commented over the years how he has frightened both sorority sisters and boyfriends. I love that! Here's to continuing the terror.

This is the picture I wanted. It's like the picture in the magazine, and the reason I made the suit. I've kept that magazine article for so long, long before any of my children were old enough to make me a grandmother.

I've always looked forward to being a grandmother.

Final fitting

She's a squirmer but we finally got it on her. I think it turned out well. I'm very pleased!

Second generation...another GaGa

This is the new baby Olivia got for her birthday. I don't know who gave it to her but she does not like to be without her. Reminds me a little of her Aunt Hali. I like the way she sucks the baby's hand. And she loves to give the baby kisses. It was hysterical when she discovered and compared her own bare feet to the baby's bare feet.

They have quite a bit

They have quite a bit of clothing on to keep them warm. It was pretty cool for a bike ride. Yet notice the missing helmets. Beautiful and deceitful.

I brought some forsythia in to bloom a little early. More signs of spring.

A weekend to remember

Just one week ago I was in a wonderful city, with the most wonderful man in the world, looking at another man's wonderous works. Wonders of wonders!
