Ready For Election Day!

We voted a week and a half ago but I wanted this finished by the big day tomorrow.  No matter who your candidate is, GO OUT AND VOTE.

And hoping all on the east coast are able to exercise their right.

(If he wins I think I might tangle a family portrait:)

Sleep Over Fun

My son and daughter-in-law often have to work weekends.  When that happens we take turns with the other grandparents having sleep overs.  I always try to have activities planned for Olivia, a very curious and imaginative 4 year old.

This week I checked out this book from the library.....

which inspired these works of art.....

I've also been waiting for her to be old enough to understand the concept of shadow puppetry.  The night before I made a theater out of a black display board from Walmart and some tissue paper and downloaded a cast of characters.

She made up the story and I wrote it down, Under the Sea Tea.

Of course it ended with the shark eating everyone.....

And the show got rave reviews!!  Daddy even made a movie of it!
