Sewing gifts for grandbabies

I needed a shower gift for our first grandson; and I needed a birthday gift for our first granddaughter who turned four yesterday.  It would figure that both parties were on the same weekend, leading to a month of sewing and knitting.

Daddy of baby boy may be an air traffic controller, but deep down he wants to be a film maker.  That and the fact that they just moved to California made me think of a movie themed crib quilt.....

And something seen and copied from Pinterest, I knitted him a little football sleep sack.....

And for the four-year-old who really only appreciates things pink, I made her a pink dream book she can literally get between the pages of.....

It was intense, but I survived, sort of.

Valentines Day Projects

So the almost four-year-old ballerina wasn't keen on the last pair of leg warmers because they were gray  and pink.  She only likes pink and purple.  So another pair was needed!

She also got a new skirt.....
 that's reversible...

And a heart headband because she loves headbands.

Some homemade chocolate cherry cups for everyone...

A new hat for me.....

I started a new painting because sometimes I need a break from knitting and sewing.....

And my flower is finally blooming!

Learning to Sew

083

Remember these?  I wanted Olivia to be able to sit and sew while Grandma does so I made her some sewing cards and a sewing basket.  Since she always wants to do what I'm doing, these worked perfectly.

I made photo copies from a book, glued them to card stock, covered them with clear contact paper and punched the holes.

She loves them!!003
